The Nebraska State Patrol is looking for a member to join the Development Team as a Software Developer. In this position, you will help design and maintain the Nebraska Intelligence application which is used in gathering data on reported suspicious activities. This position will work with the Intelligence Division to design and maintain the application used across Nebraska.
We are looking for a Software Developer with experience in C#, ASP.Net, MVC, HTML, CSS, SQL and database design experience. Knowledge of data warehouse tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services and SharePoint.

The IT Developer position will work with NSP’s Intelligence Division and collaborate with other developers to design, develop, and maintain the Nebraska Intelligence application.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training in coding computer applications.
PREFERRED: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering or management information systems with experience in programming. Experience or training in designing web and desktop applications using C#, ASP.NET, Web Form, MVC, Microsoft SQL Server software development, database reporting, and object-oriented programming. Knowledge of data warehouse tools, SQL Stored Procedure, SQL Reporting Services, Team Foundation Server, SharePoint, and SharePoint services would be given preference.
OTHER: A valid driver’s license is required or ability to provide independent authorized transportation. If selected for this position, you must meet the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services employment eligibility requirements by completing an EEV (I-9) Form. The agency does not sponsor H1-B Visa’s. Must successfully complete an extensive background screening prior to being employed which includes completion of a Personal History Questionnaire. Applicants will be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check. Applicants must be free of felony convictions, and cannot maintain continuous association or dealings with persons, groups, or organizations that they know, or should know, are persons or groups or organizations under criminal investigation or indictment or who have a reputation for present, ongoing involvement in felonious or criminal behavior.
