Responsibilities of the Claims Investigator:
Under general supervision of the Program Coordinator II, perform in-depth investigations on worker’s compensation claims. Make recommendations regarding compensability. Conduct dependency investigations and testify at dependency hearings. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct dependency investigations and testify at dependency hearings.
- Perform and/or assist with in-depth investigations on worker’s compensation claims.
- Attends meetings as requested to provide recommendations or updates on pending investigations.
- Responds to all questions or problems involving claim files with pending assigned investigations from attorneys, employee/claimants, employers, medical providers, and internal customers.
- Travel in-state to conduct investigations as needed.
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
