Responsibilities: The position monitors and reports on payables and receivables and provides timely projections regarding statewide program costs for two divisions. This position conducts research to determine trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement in cost accounting, expenditures and fiscal processes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related fieldOR a combination of education and/or experience to include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.Two years of relevant professional experience in accounting or budgeting.Extensive knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices, math skills and reasoning. Fiscal and clerical experience with exposure to accounts payable and/or payroll processing.Experience performing a variety of advanced and complex accounting and financial tasks.Experience using Word Processing, spreadsheet and advanced applications of financial management-related software programs.Experience in preparing financial reports and statements.Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a part of a team on assigned tasks.Proven analytical and mathematical skills.Strong time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize workloads. Attention to detail.
