We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be an integral player in the smooth functioning of our business, possessing exceptional organizational and communication abilities. The Scheduler will be able to pivot and quickly adapt to unforeseen changes with positivity, patience, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client service requests incoming from the Central Coast and Bay Area, questions, and concerns, via phone, text, and e-mail, with a sense of urgency and compassion-focused, positive attitude
• Dispatch Veterinarians and Technicians/Veterinary Assistants on service calls and re-route as needed, creating, and maintaining well-planned and accurate schedules, keeping a sharp eye on details (as schedules change frequently)
• Coordinate on-site coverage of Veterinarians and Technicians/Veterinary Assistants at horse shows and events where Steinbeck Peninsula Equine is the primary provider of veterinary services
• Proactively trouble-shoot and resolve any potential scheduling issues that may arise before they do, eliminating potential scheduling overlaps or conflicts
• Actively assist in creating and maintaining positive and healthy relationships between the clinics and clients
• Assist Veterinarians and Technicians/Veterinary Assistants by being “at the ready,” problem-solving any issues that may arise while they are out on service calls
• Serve as the liaison between clients and Veterinarians and Technicians/Veterinary Assistants, as needed
• Perform additional duties as requested

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years full time scheduling/dispatching and/or administrative experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
• Superb organizational skills that reflect proven ability to multi-task and own the details
• Tech-savvy, adaptable to new software and programs
• Resourceful and collaborative team-player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in working online
