As a part of their expansion in their business, they have partnered with us here at Stellar to identify an outstanding candidate for a permanent role as a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Officer.

The Role

Playing a pivotal part in establishing and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment; this role will deliver specialised capabilities across risk management, reporting, and QA methods aligning with GD05.

Other role responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Supporting the development, implementation, and review of Health & Safety Manuals, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance
• Facilitating H&S management audits
• Managing risk identification, assessment, and control processes
• Overseeing incident reporting and investigations
• Serving as a point of contact for health and safety across projects
• Preparation of comprehensive H&S reports
• Running management meetings and staff communication

To Be Successful

• A tertiary qualification in any discipline which aligns with the role, industry, or health and safety
• Proven work experience in civil construction, preferably on site
• Excellent interpersonal skills across all methods of communication
• Flexibility to work in NZ without restriction (Citizenship, visa, or residency)
• Ability to pass a criminal check
