We’re expanding into the American market and the company is scaling up. Most recently, we have been listening to teachers’ feedback – they want a resource to help their students study and revise. That’s why we’ve created Stile X.

Stile X is our new physical notebook and revision guide with an accompanying mobile app for students. It’s the ultimate companion to Stile’s online lessons and assists students in taking high-quality handwritten notes, revising and consolidating knowledge, studying for tests and exams, and building their revision skills outside the classroom.

That’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a talented Mobile Software Engineer who is comfortable working with iOS, Android and Flutter, to help us bring Stile X to life. Working with the in-classroom team, you’ll help spec, design, and build tools that help students revise their lessons and foster a love for STEM through mobile games, quizzes, and augmented reality demonstrations.

This role will require the ability to translate product designs into reality while keeping accessibility at the forefront. You believe that a classroom is at its best when everyone is involved and that technology can help facilitate this environment. We work closely with designers and content creators to create these experiences, so the ability to communicate ideas and provide technical expertise to non-technical contributors is a must. You should bring a deep understanding of user needs and how the needs of both teachers and students can be met simultaneously.

• Resourcefulness and initiative, leading to high impact at past jobs.
• Ability to ask the right questions, learn quickly, and tackle complex problems.
• Ability to focus on the user experience, while balancing it against cost, security, and scalability considerations.

Experience indicators for applicants (these are advisory only and will vary for each candidate):

Mid-level engineer

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in programming, or part-time equivalent
• Foundational knowledge of computer science and software engineering principles
• Proven success on multiple projects.
• Able to work independently

Senior engineer or higher

• Many years of experience in the industry.
• Has held technical leadership positions before, or has contributed a lasting impact on their workplace through other means.
• Broadly knowledgeable about the industry as well as technology.
• Deeply knowledgeable on many technical areas.
