Storage and Distribution Associate Full Time

Syntro Health is seeking two (2) storage and distribution associates to help contribute to the growth of a dynamic clinical trials company. 

Syntro is a GMP certified business specialising in the production and distribution of clinical trial medications.  We collaborate with Australia’s top R&D facilities and international pharma companies to innovate in the pharmaceutical field.

The company has two storage facilities located in Richmond and Port Melbourne. It is envisaged that one applicant will be based in Richmond and one in Port Melbourne.  Flexibility in the working location will be highly regarded.

The Storage and Distribution Associates work closely with the Storage and Distribution Manager to ensure that the clinical trial medicines at Syntro Health are receipted, stored, and correctly dispatched to clinical sites.

The Storage and Distribution Associate is responsible to ensure that licensing requirements for the storage and distribution of medicines are followed and maintained.

Specific requirements include:

• Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials
• Arrange receipt and quarantining of stock from clients and wholesalers
• Work with quality for movement of stock from quarantine to released goods
• Liaise with sites, study coordinators, sponsors, and CRAs to ensure timely delivery of clinical trial materials
• Ensure materials are kept within temperature limits 
• Maintain the warehouse including monitoring the operating temperatures and participating in specific warehouse cleaning/housekeeping activities
• Liaise closely with third party couriers to ensure booking and timely collection of medicines
• Oversee the packaging of outbound shipments by couriers and the receipt of inbound shipments by couriers
• Utilise Syntro Health’s internal software system to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
• Adhere to health and safety procedures in the warehouse
• Liaise with other Syntro departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
• Work at our Richmond and Port Melbourne warehousing sites

Qualifications and Experience 

• Experience with walkie stackers and/or forklift licence would be advantageous (though training will be provided) 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical supply chain logistics would be highly regarded
• A degree in science or pharmacy would be highly regarded
