Working closely with the Storagepipe team you will strategize and implement sales plans that will drive our business. You will be instrumental in fueling the growth of Storagepipe’s sales and a key driver of company revenue. The sales plan, growth, and outcomes will be your ultimate responsibility; therefore, you will require a solid understanding of Storagepipe’s entire service portfolio in order to propose appropriate solutions to customers.

To be considered for this important role, you should have strong, proven experience with a minimum of 3+ years working in a lead customer-facing position in sales and in a technology or managed services setting. The successful candidate must be able to source and develop new customer relationships with high-level IT decision makers as well as manage our established customer base.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive new revenue opportunities and close new business – mid to large scale enterprises
• Lead generation, prospecting and cold calling for qualified prospects using phone, email, social networks and content marketing followup and nurturing
• Participate in technical and business requirements gathering sessions
• Preparing presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions
• Develop references and referrals from within customer accounts
• Utilize CRM (Salesforce.com) to ensure pipeline is updated daily, maintain record of all account activities and identify competitive or other critical information
• Understanding the backup and disaster recovery market and communicate intelligently about the overall value of Storagepipe’s services to prospects
• Work collaboratively with all departments including: technical support, account management, development, marketing and executive team
• Provide ongoing pipeline analysis and strategize with sales and executive team

Qualifications and Skills

• Innovative team player who is self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Minimum 3 years sales experience in the IT industry (technology or managed services)
• Possess 1-2 years proven success using inbound and outbound prospecting as your primary success tools.
• Experience in B2B selling in the IT industry
• Experience with client interaction in an sales or account management role
• Established contacts and relationships with IT decision makers
• Professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical skills in preparing value propositions
• Strong negotiating skills with ability to effectively manage through objections and work around business obstacles
• Strong appreciation of both business and technical requirements and how to blend the two together successfully
• Very strong ability to work independently, manage a pipeline of activity and prioritize to meet timelines and drive results
• Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers including senior employees and executives
• Enjoy the challenge of developing new business and skilled at overcoming objections and reaching decision makers
• Proven track record meeting and exceeding goals
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
• Effective use of MS Outlook, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn and MS Office
• French/English bilingual capabilities are an asset
• College or university degree, or equivalent experience in a related field
