What you will do

Responsible for assisting in team performance optimization in the areas of quality, deliver and performance to budget, team building, employee engagement, new product implementation, and capacity and production planning. Serves as escalation point for people issues and leads training and onboarding in assigned area(s).

• Assist in scalability and troubleshooting for equipment and systems
• Assist, as needed, with resolving technical issues as well as maintenance of production equipment
• Assist, as needed in reviewing existing operational and process discrepancies and provide guidance for process improvement
• Collaborates and pulls in support staff after appropriate investigation of issues
• Execute labor plan in partnership with Production Team Leader and Manufacturing Process Lead
• Review and execute production planning as directed by Production Team Leader
• Assist with coaching and feedback for production employees
• Identify and communicate potential resource needs for the area
• Contribute to Leader Standard Work and audit requirements including Quality and 6S
• Partner with PTL and other Business Units for project execution and plant process improvement
• Execute employee engagement activities in assigned area as directed by Production Team Leader
• Drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement, positivity, and collaboration within the team.
• Expose and document problems through the MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) process
• Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers
• Build and /or operate in production to meet production pace requirements

Education/Special Training Preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required, University Degree or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years of Manufacturing experience, experience in a manufacturing lead capacity highly preferred
