The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for general accounting activities and processing commissions. Commission experience is appreciated, but the attributes we desire most are excellent communication, computational acumen and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adaptability and a high level of accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate and distribute commission funds for new sales on a weekly basis
• Communicate with clients and sales reps in a professional and courteous manner
• Adhere to and consistently defer to company policy on contract compliance
• Contribute to the team by assisting with other projects as needed

Requirements:

Experience:

We are looking for someone with a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience and consider a general understanding of commission processing to be an asset. Must be proficient with spreadsheets and QuickBooks.

• Members of the accounting department must possess strong computational and analytical skills.
• Other necessary qualities include strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time well, the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, a problem-solving attitude, and the willingness to take initiative and exhibit resourcefulness.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid experience in QuickBooks required
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and other departments

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• At least three years of related experience required.
