Suncorp Group Hiring for Public Cloud Software Engineer Job at Sydney, Australia Full Time

About the role

The Cloud Hosting team is responsible for building and maintaining the end-to-end lifecycle of Suncorp’s Public and Private Cloud platforms and services.

The team is responsible for managing all aspects of these platforms including security, risk, evaluating/provisioning new services, cost visibility and optimisation. Furthermore, the team maintains a large number of software assets (predominately Python & Django) which enables various functions for internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for managing, monitoring and improving Suncorp’s Cloud Platforms;
• Understanding customer requirements and working with Suncorp teams and vendors to deliver solutions they need on time;
• Proactively identify and create proposals for technology improvements;
• Assist in creating technology roadmaps and a pipeline of work aligned to it; and
• Provide input into workload and resource planning and estimation activities.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Software or a DevOPS Engineer role is a requirement of this role
• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Current Industry Technical Qualifications is desired
• High level of skill and experience in the following technologies:
  • AWS
  • Python
• Intermediate level of skill and experience in the following technologies:
  • Ansible
  • CICD
  • Django
• Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and re-engineering
• Developing Infrastructure as a Code
