Our Ridgeville facility manufactures aluminum high-pressure, die-cast products and permanent mold gravity cast parts. Sundaram-Clayton USA, LLC is a part of the multi-billion dollar TVS Group, one of the largest automotive and automotive components manufacturing and distribution groups in India.Major Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up die cast machine following standard procedures using overhead crane to load die. Wears protective clothing as required. Adjusts die cast machine controls to predetermined settings listed on set up sheets. Connects cooling lines and check for leaks and proper operation. Sets up and adjusts die lubrication system. Adjusts nozzle torches to maintain proper temperature. Sets up trim die and adjusts trim press following standard procedures. Sets up robotic arm operation following standard procedures for proper safe operation. Monitors all systems and oversees the operation of the die cast machine and associated equipment, reporting any problems to supervisor. Operates trim press or performs any other secondary operations required. Inspects castings for quality standards. Maintains good housekeeping practice, and contribute to a good work environment Performs all duties in a safe manner. Inspects all safety devices regularly and reports any hazards. Fully support the SCUSA Safety programs. Acquire job assignment from Team Leader. Support the team and the team members. Operate production equipment as assigned. Perform product inspection. Perform standardized work as instructed by Team Leader. Perform operator maintenance tasks within his/her team. Increase his/her competence to be able to maintain and continuously improve his/her activities. Support new activities, improvements, and reorganizations. Assist with training, either training newer employees or filling in so that personnel can be setup for training.To be considered, you must possess the following education, skills, experience: High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of pressure die casting experience preferred Must be at least 18 years old Strong attention to details Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to perform the essential functions of the job such as lifting and moving up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling.
