Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for Document Scanning Specialist to support our growing organization. This position is based in the Las Vegas, Nevada Southwest Gas Offices.

Your Impact

The Document Scanning Specialist provides both strategic and operational support to the Southwest Gas organization.

• Scan or electronically convert standard or large format documents.
• QC Images for legibility and completeness.
• Follow procedure based on type of documents being scanned and/or converted electronically (LMS/Service AC/As-Builts/AutoCAD files).
• Log files to be scanned and/or be converted from electronic files.
• Index documents in Company document management system (PaperVision).
• QC index information for accuracy.
• Fold and organize documents as requested.

Who You Are:

Required Qualifications

Skills:

• Experience with large and small format document imaging technologies and solutions is helpful.
• Activities include all processes related to assuming and returning custody of customer documents, tracking and inventory control of source documents, document preparation, image acquisition, document indexing, image processing, image posting.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is a plus.
• Respond well with professionalism and cordial communication as a team

Minimum Requirements:

• Working knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Knowledge of document imaging principles, imaging mechanics, file structures, file formats helpful.
• Experience and a strong aptitude for developing process workflows including acute attention to following quality control procedures within process workflows.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
