POSITION SUMMARY: The ED Concierge is a customer service focus role assisting all patients presenting to the Emergency Department for medical care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist patient/family with utilization of kiosk for arrival time capture
- Identify patients that need emergency medical care based on patient/family voiced complaint
- Assist family/significant others with locating patients in the hospital
The position has no direct patient care; it does have the requirement to identify specific complaints and escort the patient immediately to a RN upon identification; and access to confidential medical records and organizational information as it relates to patient care

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
-
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent customer service skills and teaching abilities
- Ability to identify customer service issues within the ED lobby and assist with the resolution of the problem
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Computer literate; have a working knowledge of Meditech
- Work independently and is self-directed and motivated
