We have an opportunity for a Judicial Secretary. We are seeking an individual who can perform specialized and confidential legal secretarial work for Judges and/or Executives. The ideal candidate will possess at least a High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience performing secretarial work including one (1) year working with legal documents and procedures
This recruitment has a current vacancy in the Desert Region including: Blythe, Indio and Palm Springs courthouses but will establish a countywide eligibility list.
Riverside is the fourth largest county in California and the 10th largest in the United States. There are fourteen court facilities spanning 7,300 square miles that serves Riverside’s 2.4 million residents. The courts and its employees hold a unique role in the public sector. The mission of the Riverside Superior Court is, “…in a fair, accessible, effective, and efficient manner, resolve disputes arising under the law and interpret and apply the law consistently, impartially, and independently to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitutions of California and of the United States.”
Candidates who take and successfully pass the assessment(s) may be reviewed by the Subject Matter Expert(s). Successful candidates may be invited to an oral panel interview.
Additional steps for the selection process will include a drug test, background and reference checks.
MEDICAL PLAN and Dental PLAN
The Court offers medical and dental plans.
Employees may waive the Court-offered Medical and Hospital Plan, if they provide proof of other current “group” health plan coverage.
(MEDICAL FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PROGRAM)
The Court contributes an amount each month, which is determined by the “Type of Enrollment” on behalf of each regular employee in a paid status, who is enrolled in one of the medical and hospital plans provided by the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside.
(MEDICAL SUBSIDY)
The Court will provide a subsidy to offset out of pocket cost of the medical premiums.

Employees in this job class accrue vacation/sick leave; pro-rated if less than full time.

HOLIDAYS
Generally thirteen days per year. Employees are entitled to eight (8) hours of holiday pay for each court recognized holiday.
