Due to recent growth, our client is seeking a motivated, proactive Python Developer. This is an entirely remote role (permanent); our ideal candidate will join a relaxed working environment with flexible hours, and enjoy the work/life balance offered working from home.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Interpret functional requirements and determine unique solutions to satisfy these
• Identify gaps in requirements and provide feedback to product management
• Deliver robust software designed to be secure, scalable, maintainable, and extensible
• Work collaboratively with all members of the team including developers, product management and the service delivery team
• Work within an agile development model

Essentially, you are proficient in:

• Web development using Python and Django
• Research and Development of technical designs
• Principles of REST and Web API Development
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders
• Working with large datasets at scale with a performance mindset
• Great time management and organisational skills to manage your workload productively in a virtual or remote team
• A proactive, responsive attitude; you enjoy interacting with clients to solve problems
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet at home or in a coworking space

And it’d be advantageous if you also have:

• Experience with test driven development
• Postgresql database design and optimization
• Experience with Docker
• Git and branch management
