Sutherland Hiring for Online Community Moderator at Rochester, NY Full Time

Job Description:
As an Online Community Moderator, you’ll bring your communication skills to a community platform where you will own the experience of the online comment sections by enforcing community guidelines and answering questions/assisting the public when/where possible. Community Moderators will be expected to take an active role, posing questions where appropriate to drive conversation, provoke thought, and be vigilant in seeking out anything that would degrade the comment sections from being anything other than an engaging space.

You are detail oriented and up to date on current events

You have solid decision-making skills and sound judgment to report inappropriate content on the community forums

You are energized by the opportunity to learn new things, perform at a high level in a team environment and creatively solve problems.

You have strong English written communication skills and are able to multitask

You are flexible and open to working various schedules

Qualifications:
Excellent typing skills (at least 30 words per minute)

Experience in customer service preferred

Experience in Public Relations, Communications or other public-facing roles preferred

Social Media knowledge

Associates Degree or greater
