Position Overview:

Provides full secretarial and administrative support for the Plant Operations Department and related functions.

Job Description:

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Professionally screens visitors, telephone calls, sorts’ incoming mail, publications and other correspondence. Answers inquiries on procedures and policies relating to departmental functions while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
• Composes or types correspondence, reports, memoranda, special projects, technical papers and related material for departmental staff as requested. Provides support for and works closely with Administrative Secretary/Project Management.
• Schedules and coordinates meetings and facilities. May include making travel and lodging arrangements.
• Maintains departmental files, reports and records. Monitors budgets and utility reports. Collects statistical data and prepares reports for administrative or regulatory purposes.
• Provides support for Bio-Medical service, coordinating work with other departments. Orders repair parts as requested.
• Assists in the selection and ordering of materials. Prepares purchase orders and processes invoices. Responsible for material management and purchasing.
• Interacts and communicates with contractors, consultants, inspectors and governmental agencies.

• Interacts and communicates with contractors, consultants, inspectors and governmental agencies.
• Maintains safety documents, licenses, permits and environmental records for department and Medical Center, i.e. hazard alerts, MSDS, JCAHO, CAL OSHA and Title 22.
• Maintain and update badge information as needed.

EDUCATION

• 
  Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Compose letters/memorandums
• Communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficiency with PC and WP software applications
• Proficiency with PC for word processing and spreadsheet analysis

PAY RANGE: 28.80 – 36.45

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
