Teaching Assistant
£16,400 per year
(Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30, term time)
SWAAY are looking for a dedicated, resilient and inclusive Teaching Assistant to join our school team at Cressex Lodge, offering secondary education to young males aged 11-17 with attachment difficulties, developmental trauma and sexually harmful behaviour.
You will be pro-active, able to adapt to changing needs and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life – including extra-curricular activities. As a Teaching Assistant at SWAAY you will be willing to engage in sports activities on daily basis whilst promoting positive behaviour and independent learning. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining safe learning environments, safeguarding pupils and liaising with residential and therapy staff as required.
Our aim is to provide each of our pupils with an Education for Life, by valuing and respecting them as individuals, developing their self-esteem, relationships and attachments.
