This will be a full time and permanent position, leading a large team to be a key contributor to school improvement by directing and coordinating the roles of the Inclusion and Engagement Officers. The post holder will also be responsible for the operational running of the Swansea Virtual School.
The post holder will be responsible for contributing towards the implementation of the Swansea Virtual school model, and liaise with all professionals associated with a looked after child. They would be responsible for implementing a process to ensure communication is transferred between departments in a time conscious way. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all statutory requirements are met and all appropriate procedures, guidelines and policies are in place in relation to LAC processes, Managed Moves, Exclusions and Pastoral Support Plans. They will be responsible for the preparation of clear information and guidance for headteachers, governors and parents on statutory requirements and LA policies, as well as preparing reports for committees and elected members as requested.
