The role

Our exceptional people see everything as an opportunity and are always striving to make more from milk. We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand and Communication Manager to join our busy Strategy, Innovation & Corporate Affairs team on a permanent basis.

This stand out role will take charge and develop, manage and implement an effective external communication strategy which brings Synlait’s purpose, ambition and business plan to life with our corporate brand and associated external and internal sub brands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of all the companies branding, packaging, advertising, promotions, documentation, pitch-decks, and sales training tools for the Synlait corporate brand and subsequent external and internal sub-brands (Lead With Pride, Made With Better Milk and Synlait Safe).
• Develop and operationalize communications strategies for business initiatives as required, with a particular focus on milk supply and sustainability.
• First point of contact for all external media enquiries, while building relationships with that will assist in portraying Synlait’s story to a range of audiences.
• Develop PR campaigns/content and manage reporting of media coverage.
• Develop, operationalize, and execute a digital and social media strategy.
• Develop engaging and motivating content, high quality sales tools & marketing assets and the ongoing management of Synlait’s corporate website.

Qualification

• Degree level qualifications in communications or related discipline

Skills And Experience

• 7 to 10 years’ experience in generalist internal communication and/or manager positions, preferably for a manufacture or global corporate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong people management, influencing and advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and regularly meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs (MS Word, Teams and PowerPoint).
