The Partner Acquisition Representative is a solution-focused professional responsible for new /old opportunities within existing and prospective clients through extraordinary relationship building over the phone and through face to face meetings.
This role has a customer base in New Zealand and across parts of Australia so is a great opportunity to bring your superior inside sales experience to the fore. Our role would suit a junior Business Development Manager or Account Manager who is looking for the next step in their career.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:
Pro-actively engage with existing and net new customers in the assigned territory and drive business through cold/ warm calling, finding new partners by liaising with vendors, drive event registration, engage with partners on loyalty program, finance offerings and related programs.
Proactively work with resellers to generate sales. Reactivating dormant partners and increasing vendor breadth in existing trading partners is a key performance indicator (KPI) for the role.
Engage deep into the account and develop strong working relationships at every level with particular focus on the reseller’s inside sales/ operations teams by providing excellent customer service and sales support.
Make regular calls to customers to understand the day to day quote requests, opportunities and work with customers to cross sell / up sell.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
National Certificate of Educational Achievement or equivalent.
Previous experience in a business to business sales environment particular IT sales is preferred but not essential. Key for this role is to be a successful relationship builder with a background in sales
Understanding and/ or experience in quoting utilising an ERP system would be well regarded
Able to understand back log reports and take action as required
Able to follow up on quotes and/ or orders directly by calling customers
Experience in being able to generate sales from the ground up is preferred
Able to work without supervision, collaborate within a small team and be open to assist with the team is required
in time, you will need to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Tech Data’s vendors, technologies, competitors, and industry trends.
Excellent interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Good time management skills required
