Due to our continuous growth, we are now looking for Mid-Senior Software Engineers with solid Scala/Python experience and a passion for upskilling in Data and Analytics to join our team in Sydney!

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Working with our partners to deliver software systems to our clients
• Working in an agile team to develop and support Data and Analytics software products
• Developing parallel processing algorithms for data in Scala/Python (e.g. Spark)
• Developing and supporting data integration systems with cloud services, on-prim systems, big data platforms, serverless and webservices

Let’s talk about your capability and experience:

• 3-4 years Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science
• At least 3+ years of solid experience in Java, Python and Scala software development
• Strong experience working with functional/lambda programming paradigms
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud technologies is preferrable but not essential
• Strong background working with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SqlServer, or Postgres)
• Must have experience working in Agile projects
• Comfortable with Unit Testing

• Must have experience working with distributed systems (e.g. Spark)

Preferred experience with:

• Working with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Elasticsearch/Solr)
• Working with DevOps (e.g. Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus)

Salary: $140,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
