This position is a support function within the overall finance department. This position is responsible for processing and posting of customer invoices and payments and other related A/R functions as well as other tasks assigned by supervisor.

PURPOSE

This position is responsible for performing Accounts Receivable functions such as processing customer invoices, posting customer payments, comparing vendor invoices to purchase orders and initiating payments to vendors, scanning, filing, and data entry.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Receive, reconcile and process all customer invoices. Correct/resolve invoice discrepancies/issues. Reconcile short pays and skipped invoices

• Obtains supplier invoices, receiving documents and other supporting documentation then examines, codes appropriately, and posts to the accounting system

• Apply cash/checks to customer accounts. Prepares checks for printing. Prepares hand checks as needed

• Print, email customer A/R Statements. Handles all supplier A/P queries and follow up

• Coordinates and resolves with buyers all cost discrepancies and tracks using a cost discrepancy log

• Prepare A/R reporting. (monthly, ad hoc, etc)

• Scan/File all customer invoices. Perform data entry and filing as needed.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred

SKILLS

• Proficient computer skills with emphasis on Word and Excel

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Must be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data
