JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst is a functional role aimed at developing ad-hoc and recurring business reports, works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs, and ensures timely, high-quality reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate for this position can extract, summarize, and tell a story with data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mine, analyze and interpret data from multiple sources.
Work with business owners to identify information needs and develop reporting; primary partners include the analytics team, management team, sales, finance & accounting, marketing, merchandising and operations.
Assists in the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business behaviors that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
Supports the development of forecasts, statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses which drive marketing and merchandising efforts around customer acquisition and conversion.
Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling.
Partner with the Technology teams to deliver a stable and highly available reporting platform.
Maintain reporting and analytical tools.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation

Business Insights/Intelligence or related field.

Experience

Minimum 3 years Business Analytics and/or reporting experience.
Proven background in performing data mining, analysis, and reporting desirable.
PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Professional Skills

Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel and Access. PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management, and inter-department staff. Capable of working with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Takes analytical, creative, and innovative approaches to solving problems.
Planning / Organization – Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities/deadlines and shift priorities as necessary.
