Title: Associate Scientist
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for supporting development of new small molecule and biological drug products via the development and application of process analytical technologies (PAT).
Position will be predominately in New Brunswick with potential travel to other sites within commuting distance.
Provide routine support for PAT for continuous manufacturing and other projects. Perform laboratory experiments with analytical instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation, and document in electronic laboratory notebook or report
Work hand in hand with PAT subject matter expert to maintain laboratory workspace and instrumentation
Provide support for innovative PAT for drug product formulation and process understanding.
Run experiments and create documents and templates to support PAT workflow development
Follow safety, regulatory, and compliance standards as they relate to the development of pharmaceuticals
Responsible for willingly and enthusiastically working in the laboratory to solve pharmaceutical development problems
With the appropriate level of supervision, prepare technical reports and oral presentations
Requirements:
Requires relevant scientific or engineering Bachelor’s Degree at minimum, (e.g. chemistry, chemical engineering, or pharmaceutical science), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience carrying out experiments with analytical instrumentation
Experience designing and carrying out experimental studies and documenting findings
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to be a contributing member on cross functional assignments. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Strong time management skills and ability to navigate multiple assignments in parallel
Proficiency in MS products and computer skills
