Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) to deliver the next generation of our mobile applications, which include our flagship T-Mobile App. Together we work with diverse teams to understand the linkage between our company’s goals, business and technology architectures to further T-Mobile’s business goals via organic or inorganic evolution of T-Mobile’s architectures. All this with the goal to deliver amazing experiences to our customers!You are responsible for designing/coding creative and scalable systems and software solutions that address business and technical needs in a constantly evolving market. You will define and maintain architecture and technology standards for mobile apps. In addition, you will give guidance and direction to project teams to ensure compliance, evaluate and recommend technologies and techniques for applicability to T-Mobile systems.You will obsess over the customer experience of the features you build and tackle problems across the full technology stack from backend skills, massive data bases, and complex mobile operating systems. You hold an extraordinarily high bar for engineering excellence and work collaboratively to find simple and inventive solutions to complex problems. You are constantly experimenting and looking to move quickly and take calculated risks and you will work to make our mobile apps more useful on iOS. You have a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.ResponsibilitiesiOS app development using: Swift / Objective-C (all new development is in Swift)Perform detailed technical design and implementation of complex iOS applicationsTranslate business requirements into technical requirements for large customer facing products (millions of users), starting from design through implementation.Act as a mentor and teaches others new and existing technologiesWork closely with Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to craft, build and extend consumer facing new products, platforms and features.Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit testsQualificationsBS degree in Computer Science or EngineeringSolid understanding of object-oriented programmingDetailed conceptual and hands-on knowledge of architectural patterns and standard methodologies relating to complex mobile and dynamic web apps.6+ years of strong object-oriented application development experience5+ years of complex iOS mobile application development experienceStrong understanding of SwiftSolid grasp of mobile networking and REST Web ServicesExperience in API design, SDK architecture, and mobile SDLC practices.Lead abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence.Experience and understanding of large and complex code bases and architectures.Familiarity with agile development methods (Scrum/Kanban)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMinimum QualificationsAt least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or GEDPre-employment background screenCompany ProfileT-Mobile U.S. Inc.
