About the role:
The Regional Business Manager (RBM) implements the strategic initiatives developed by the leadership team. The RBM will develop strong relationships with all physicians and accounts within their geographic responsibility who treat patients appropriate for the Takeda Rare Disease portfolio of LSD products. The RBM’s primary goal is to identify providers managing patients and educate those providers regarding the benefits of using our therapies with appropriate patients. Further, once an appropriate patient is identified by the provider, assist the clinical staff with the steps necessary to get the patient on therapy. This may include areas such as reimbursement, proper testing, and site of care determination. Territory includes: Central CA to OR Border- does not include OR
How you will contribute:
You will manage all business-related activities within their geographic responsibility, including achievement of sales goals, business planning, and expense control. The RBMs call points will focus around Health Care Organizations, Targeted HCPs and Sites of care serving patients.
Apply selling skills, disease state awareness and clinical knowledge to enhance the LSD business and build support for the portfolio of products.
RBM will manage multiple Health Care Organizations (including teaching institutions) using a vertical account management approach.
RBM will be responsible to educating community Geneticists and Hematologist/Oncologist on both Hunters and Gaucher disease through an account-based approach.
RBM will identify and develop Sites of Care where patients will receive infusion therapy.
RBM works daily with company partners to help facilitate therapy for future and current patients.
Collaborate with the LSD RBM team and partners to coordinate efforts, maximize impact and enhance results.
Analyze and apply market data to assess business opportunities and priorities, including relevant impact of regional health care market and patient dynamics.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or science related field is required.
Minimum of 8 or more years selling specialty biologics or equivalent experience required.
You must demonstrate a consistent track record of success (Top 20% performance).
President’s Club or other top tier awards preferred. Succeed in an account-based selling model.
Will demonstrate strategic territory management successes
Will work within a complex sales model
Biotech, biologics, and specialty pharmacy experience helpful
Account management within large academic centers and/or Hospital experience a plus
Excellent questioning and probing ability in a sales call
Technical competence-Excel/CRM/Data analysis
Large and small group presentations
Strong actionable business acumen
Teamwork and collaboration
Adaptability in a fluid marketplace and growing organization
A compliance-focused attitude in everything we do
Vertical Key Account Management
You must live in territory
Must work evenings and weekends as needed
Extensive travel required and varies by territory

Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
Able to travel 60% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends
Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental
