This client is on a mission related to the Digital Transformation of the Health Care System. Their systems are build to impact around 15% of the challenges of Health Care around Australia and New Zealand by helping nurses and doctors across the hospital with diagnosis and patient care.

The role
Their application development team is responsible for the design, build, testing and support of software products that they deliver to their healthcare clients in a variety of locations around the world. To support their growth in the Asia-Pacific region we are expanding their local development team.

The role of Software Engineer is open Australia wide to candidates who will build, deliver and support a number of key application and software functions for the client market in the ANZ region. The role will be part of an existing but growing team meaning there is also an opportunity for this role to take part in defining how the team operates and interacts with the wider business and their
clients.

As a global business, their stakeholders are located in a variety of locations around the world, and this role will interact regularly with those stakeholder groups to help ensure an aligned and cohesive approach to solutioning, planning and delivery.

This team will be working on new and innovative applications so they are looking for someone that could have a high sense of autonomy and wants to be hands-on to impact the challenges in the Health Care System.

Expectations:

• 3 or more years of software analysis, design, and programming experience
• Experience working within a development environment that adheres to proven agile development methodologies, standards, and technologies
• Java development skills
• Hands-on and current database development experience including complex scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views to support front end applications.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of a broad range of software development activities including integration, packaging, and deployment
• Experience with GIT technologies
• SQL server and Oracle database experience
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET framework

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a variety of software products while working in close collaboration with the product manager, business analysts and support team.
• Provide technical input, expertise, and guidance to the wider stakeholder group
• Ensure adherence to software engineering quality practices.
• Maintain development practices across all development activities as per the agreed SDLC.
• Be involved with a range of development services, including requirements analysis, design, and development of relevant database/software products.
• Help build development capability, working closely with the product team, business analysts and architects to help set the direction and standards used across the team.
