Accounts Payable Specialist – Networking Company

REMOTE/ VIRTUAL – Immediate Hire

Our client is a Google Cloud Premier Partner serving over 1,400 customers, including several of the world’s largest corporations, enabling them to effectively leverage Google Cloud Platform across industries and use cases. Onix specializes in Google Cloud Solutions such as Workload Migrations, Data & Analytics, Data infrastructure and Visualization, Infrastructure Services, Collaboration & Productivity and Location-based Services.

Our client, a solid and profitable 15-year-old networking company with about 200 employees based in the US, was purchased by a Private Equity firm with aggressive plans to grow the business, with particular emphasis on growing the services business. An impressive senior management team – CEO, COO, and CFO – have been hired and are developing a plan of attack.

The company already works closely with providers like Google and AWS and has a strong staff of professionals who do cloud-based work in the data, analytics, and operations space primarily for small to middle-sized businesses and organizations.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

● Daily monitoring of our centralized AP mailbox and processing, verifying, recording and reconciling vendor invoices.

● Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant payment data.

● Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers.

● Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase orders, invoice, or payment discrepancies.

● Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process.

● Issuing purchase order amendments and stop payments.

● Reconciling account transactions with the general ledger.

● Accrual of vendor costs for month end closing

● Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient contracts and documentation.

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

● Bachelor;s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance with related work experience.

● At least 3 years experience as an accounts payable specialist.

● Experience preferred in an ERP system of accounting like FinancialForce, Net Suite.

● In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles.

● Extensive experience in account reconciliation.

● Great time management and organizational skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics.

● Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
