An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Head Office team based in Mt Wellington. This is an end-to-end, sole charge Credit Control position reporting to the CFO. You will be responsible for everything from account applications to debtor management on both trade and commercial ledgers. As we operate within the construction and building industry, this presents unique challenges in managing our debt collection, and accordingly, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience within this environment.

What will I be doing?
- Daily Banking Receipting and Account Reconciliation
- Debtor Management, including the communication with external and internal stakeholders regarding progress claims and trade invoice discrepancies and the escalation to third-party debt collection agencies
- Processing of account applications
- Preparation of monthly reports
- Effective management of incoming receipts for cashflow decision-making.
What do I need?
- Minimum of 5 years prior credit control experience, including at least 3 years within the construction and building industry
- Experience with progress claims is essential
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Construction Contracts Act
- A customer-focused approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- An ability and natural curiosity to question rather than accept
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
- Computer literacy, particularly with M/S Word and Excel.
