Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Hiring for Patient Care Assistant at Tallahassee, Florida Full Time

Under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, performs a variety of routine duties involving care of medically ill acute or sub-acute patients; performs direct patient care; observes and reports changes in the behavior and physical status of patients; provides a clean and safe environment; and performs other related duties.

Reports:

Registered Nurse (RN)/Nurse Manager [JC 031001] and/or RN/Assistant Nurse Manager [JC 030303]

Supervises:

None

Required Education:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 18 years of age. Basic Life Support (BLS)* certification required prior to performing patient care. (*NOTE: Free BLS certification training provided by Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) on-site as part of clinical orientation as needed).

Required Experience:

No previous experience required. One (1) year of job-related experience preferred. [NOTE: Minimum experience for float pool assignments is six (6) months.]

Required Certification/License/Registry: None

NOTE: Orientation requires your availability to complete Clinical Orientation on your first full week (Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm).
