Job Description

About the role

We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at Ashburton.

You will report to the General Manager of the Vegetable division, while closely working with the group H&S team and staff onsite.

You will be working Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00, with flexibility for the right candidates.

As a H&S Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Site Health & Safety – adhering with company H&S strategy and policies
• Contractor Management
• Assist with site audits – Safe Plus, Work Safe, etc
• ACC/Injury Management related duties
• Assist with staff inductions & other training on site
• Coordinating toolbox meetings, H&S meetings, etc
• Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting on various tasks assigned
• Review SOP’s, SWP’s and other H&S relevant documents
• Regular communication with staff and management
• Time-to-time tasks assigned to align with the business needs

Qualifications

Who are you?

You are a strong communicator, an efficient administrator and highly proficient with technology. You will have a positive and proactive mindset while being honest, reliable, and willing to learn.

For this role, you’ll need:

• Health & Safety qualification, with a strong understanding of H&S legislation and it’s application
• Exposure or experience in H&S sensitive role for at least 2 years
• Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Power BI, etc
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
