, Job Description

Motueka Creamery is looking for an experienced Ice Cream Operator to join our team.This role will involve working mostly Monday to Friday, weekend work may be required at times. The start time for the is role will usually be 5.30am but we will expect flexibility as our workload increases and we potentially need to change to shift work. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 working hours per week.

Pay rates range from $26.60 – $29.66/Per hour.

As an ice cream operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including

• Operating processes using automated plant control systems (SCADA)
• Operating pasteurisation and cleaning systems (CIP)
• Operating continuous ice cream equipment and rotary fillers
• Routine monitoring of process and equipment
• Ordering ingredients and packaging
• Completing paperwork (moving to tablet) for confirmation of checks
• Maintaining a prominent level of cleanliness to meet our Food Safety Standards

, Qualifications

Who are you?

You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure but with previous experience in the food industry and preferably in dairy processing. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, and willing to learn and look for improvement

• Level 3 or4 Dairy Processing Certificate, or 2 – 3 years experience operating machinery
• Good computer literacy and experience working with automation systems
• To be physically fit, able to cope with the manual nature of some tasks
• Effective communication both with colleagues and management
• To follow Talley’s Health & Safety and food safety policies.
• Have good work ethic and work history
• Have attention to detail and effective time management
