Talley’s Limited Looking for Transport Yard Person – Christchurch – Part Time at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

A chance to join a fast-paced industry with plenty of opportunities has become available in the Talley’s Freight Team in Christchurch for a part time transport yard person.

Job Description

We require an experienced forklift operator for this permanent part time role, working Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm, the busiest time for our freight operation based at our Christchurch Freight Hub. The role requires safe loading, unloading and warehousing of temperature controlled palletised product, packaging, and other general freight.

This role is an important part of this small team helping get trucks in and out efficiently, and product stored correctly, to ensure smooth running of the wider Freight operation.

Qualifications

Previous forklift experience and an F/OSH certificate are a must. A Class 2 Licence, or interest in gaining one, would also be beneficial.

A positive attitude, easy going nature, and the ability to keep calm under pressure are all qualities we are looking for, along with the ability respect and follow our proactive Health and Safety & Compliance regulations.

Good attention to detail is required, as well as care and pride in your work.

Please only apply if you have proven previous experience handling freight using a forklift.
