As aSr. IP Docketing Specialiston the Target Brands team, you’ll manage all aspects of IP docketing for our U.S. and international IP portfolio, with a focus on trademarks, including related disputes and special projects. On a daily basis, you’ll review a high volume of official documents and correspondence between Target Brands and our outside counsel, US and foreign trademark offices, business partners and vendors. You will work proactively with the Brands team to extract all pertinent data and input relevant information and deadlines into Target’s IP docketing database, ensuring the information is recorded correctly and action is taken so no deadlines are missed. Additionally, you’ll perform docket clearance by assessing correspondence and proofing filings to determine next action for entry into the docketing database. You’ll proof official documents for accuracy, scan and save critical documents to relevant electronic files and generate reports, letters and other correspondence. You’ll create new records in docketing and billing databases, assist the IP group with management of outside counsel billing, work as a team to document best practices, and perform other duties as assigned.

About you:

• Has at least 5 years docketing clerk or docketing specialist experience

• Experienced with Anaqua or another intellectual property matter management/docketing software

• Understands and has substantial experience with trademark clearance, prosecution, renewal and enforcement processes

• Understands and has some experience with patent investigation, prosecution and maintenance (preferred)

• Familiar with copyright and IP enforcement claims

• Able to process a high volume of documents in a timely manner

• Task-oriented, highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and to work under pressure with multiple managers.

• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills, including business English, composition, spelling, grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail.
