Job description:
In a team environment, provide software maintenance and development services to FSST by utilising broad knowledge and experience with application development technologies, frameworks and methodologies. Provide best practice service delivery in relation to system maintenance and development, including the initiation, implementation and management of projects. Conduct research into specialist information technology trends and provide technical advice and support to DPFEM and FSST personnel.

44.1 hours (Part time 0.6 FTE)

Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Desirable Requirements
Information and Communication Technology experience and/or tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Experience with MS Access, Cold Fusion, .NET API’s, PHP, Html, JavaScript, MS Chemstation Macros, batch script, XML and/or SQL databases is highly desirable.
Experience with core forensic scientific instrumentation and software including MS Chemstation, STRMix and DNA instrumentation, GCMS, LCMS, GRIM3, PerkinsElmer FTR-IR, Analysts Instrument Control Centre, Sciex OS and Genesis Spectrum systems also highly desirable.
Extensive experience operating within a forensic scientific laboratory and/or a qualification in forensic science, biology, chemistry or toxicology is desirable.
Current driver licence.
