Data Entry Clerk – Hybrid

*Daily travel to East Moriches required for this position.

Job Description

The Production Reporting Clerk is responsible for handling daily production reporting processing and posting in support of daily operational activities. This includes (but is not limited to):

– Entering data alpha numerically from production paperwork in ERP system (INFOR CloudSuite Industrial)

– Audit paperwork for inaccuracies and report findings to supervisor

– Basic mathematical calculations to close out the finish goods jobs

– Run multiple reports to verify “finished goods” quantities that were reported, any open jobs to closed out in ERP system

• High-level of competency with data-entry and detail-oriented reporting activities
• Focus on daily tasks with a focus on time-management and daily check-ins with production reporting supervisor to resolve questions and issues, as well as provide status updates
• Ability to work in a semi self-directed manner using a company provided laptop (must have internet access to support remote work)

Competencies

• Ability to suggest ideas for continuous improvement and help execute on those ideas
• Trouble shooting competency to address problems on an as-needed basis and investigate lot code errors and questions and any other drivers of production reporting variance based on production reporting paperwork
• Self-starter, motivated individual who can self-monitor and can manage daily production reporting responsibilities on a self-directed basis
• Strong interpersonal communication skills

Work environment

• May work in indoor environments; this is a partially remote position. The Production Reporting Clerk will be responsible for daily pick-up and drop-off of production reporting paperwork at the LI-Plant location, otherwise activities can be completed remotely (outside of the training period).
• May occasionally work near forklift or material handling equipment when at the Plant site (requiring adherence to all safety and GMP requirements).
• The Production Reporting Clerk will be expected to travel to the Plant (East Moriches) on a daily/regular basis to support paperwork pick-up and drop-off (outside of the training period).
• O/T is possible for work over/beyond a normal 40 hr. work week but will need to be planned in advance and approved by a supervisor on an as-needed basis to support week to week inventory control demands.

Physical demands

• Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages less than 15 pounds.
• Ability to see; hear; and communicate with employees by utilizing professional etiquette.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided as required.

Travel required

• Remote position: daily travel to and from the plant required.

Schedule

• M-F tentatively 8AM to 5PM with 1/2 hr. for lunch
• Will need to work two Saturdays per month on average (the last Saturday of the month and one during the month) but can take a day off, based on supervisor conversations, those weeks to maintain a 40-hr. work week.

Required education and experience

• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1 – 3 years in a similar clerical role preferred
• Computer experience, Microsoft products, Excel and Word software
• Knowledge of MRP-related software
• Knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, HACCP
