We’re looking for a Barista to join our food and beverage team in our Dark Sky Diner. This role will be responsible for preparing coffee and light snacks to our varied customers, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness at all times as well as providing an exceptional customer experience.

Our world-class Astronomy centre on Takapō lakefront brings to life the science of stars and tātai aroraki (Māori astronomy) through an immersive and engaging international experience. This experience is a world-first and complements the range of outdoor experiences that we currently offer to our domestic and international visitors to the region.

A Little Bit About You

We’re after someone who has:

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience
• Min 12 months barista experience
• Experience with cash handling, stock control and ordering
• Food Health and Safety Certificate (preferred)
• Works well in a team
• Stays cool under pressure
• Is able to work shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays

Anything could happen in a day – and we need someone who isn’t afraid of a long and varied to-do list!
