Following a review of the services we provide at a national level and to support the National Manager Tauira Services, we have introduced a new role of Team Lead and invite applications for the role.

About the role

The primary purpose of the Team Lead – National Tauira Services is to provide effective functional leadership and management of the National Tauira Services team to ensure the successful delivery of all services. The role will identify and design the tauira services contribution of the overall TWoA services strategy. This includes managing operational outputs, coordinating the Tauira Complaints process and Aotearoa Scholarship Trust, increasing performance of kaimahi, and designing and implementing improved business processes in alignment with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa values.

Reporting to the Manager National Tauira Services, you will lead a team of five including analysts and two new positions of Specialist Quality & Training and a Tauira Voice Coordinator.

Your skills and experience

You will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in education, or related field

• 4+ years’ experience in a management role preferably within the tertiary or technology environment

• Exceptional experience at establishing and maintaining strong and meaningful relationships with all stakeholders

• A focus on getting the best out of your team and delivering results

• Proven experience relevant to planning and co-ordinating service delivery to diverse client groups

• Proven experience working in process and policy development areas
• A full NZ Driver’s License (Class 1) is essential.
