Our Medical Ward in Southland Hospital is currently looking for an experienced senior Registered Nurse on a part-time, permanent basis to provide additional clinical support to the team on the afternoon shifts in a Clinical Coordinator position. We can offer some flexibility around FTE so talk to us today if you are interested in this role about what FTE might be available.
Our fabulous team is focused on patient centred care, so your kind nature and ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations will ensure your ability to slot into our work family. Integral to this role is the ability to initiate and accept responsibility with sound decision making skill and the ability to manage the unpredictable.
This is a 38 bed ward that meets the needs of patients presenting with a full range of acute medical conditions. As Clinical Coordinator you will support the clinical team ensuring the smooth transition of patients to and from other departments. You will work closely with the Duty Coordinators, nursing, and medical teams on the floor. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service, and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork.
We envisage the successful candidate to be a registered nurse with great communication and time management skills. A minimum of 3 years experience in medical nursing is desirable and current experience in a coordination or management role will be highly advantageous.

Utu whānui |Salary range
This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Grade 1 Step 1 ($95,576 p.a. pro-rata) and Grade 1 Step 3 ($106,016 p.a. pro-rata) of the Senior Nurse Salary Scale.
