Salary Band – $101,000 – $111,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

• 0.45 FTE / 18 hours per week
• Fixed term until 15 April 2024
• Long term leave cover

Provide specialist nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery and in support to other staff.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

The Clinical Team Coordinator practices both autonomously and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, treat and manage patient/consumer health care needs.

• Collaborate across the Dunedin site,
• Mentor in the roles of, educator, consultant, researcher, practice leader/change agent and care facilitator,
• Practice both autonomously and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team,
• Specialise in identification, assessment, care facilitation and support with specific reference to deteriorating or patients at risk,
• Provide clinical expertise, and leadership, promoting clinical excellence and ensuring best practice standards are met and maintained,
• Role base on 8-hour shifts – (1430-2300) and (2230-0700)
• Potential to transition to a Patient at Risk (PAR) led initiative. – Support and training provided if required.

Our Ideal Candidate Will

• Be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current APC
• Working towards relevant Post graduate qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma or/and a master’s degree e.g. health assessment.
• Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing.
• Current Core Advanced certification
• Holds Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP or level 3 and working towards level 4.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($101,089 p.a) and Step 3 ($111,695 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale, Grade 2.
