Health Care Assistant – Fracture Clinic

Salary Band – $51,000 – $61,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

The Health Care Assistant role is the ideal way for you to kick start your career in health and gain invaluable experience. This role is for Monday – Friday 830 – 1700.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the service. This is a varied role within a clinical environment, and you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment, and the care provided to the patients under our care.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will be involved in:

• Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
• Patient supervision and/or movement
• Patient cares, as required.
• Stock reconciliation
• Assist with casting and removal – once trained.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants,

• Who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative.
• Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether than experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.
• Previous health care experience is advantageous,

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($51,770 p.a) and Step 5 ($61,540 p.a prorata) of the HCA scale.
