Job Overview

We are rolling out one of the largest Kubernetes deployments in the industry to support Internet of Things and Edge Computing use cases in our 2500+ North American restaurants. We need an experienced, passionate Software Engineer to support the existing infrastructure, help scale up components during rapid growth and build new capabilities to help support increased capacity and better decision-making in the restaurants.

The Experienced Software engineer role in this rapidly evolving space requires skills in a broad range of technologies as well as the passion for continued learning and research into standards, best practices, and new technologies.

Day to Day activities of this role include developing new capabilities, supporting existing infrastructure, continually improving systems to support rapid growth, collaborating with clients and other teams, and working to share knowledge and best practices with others. Job Responsibilities & Activities

• Be responsible for the Design, Development and Deployment of new Infrastructure capabilities with limited oversight

• Collaborate with IoT dev and support teams to ensure deliverables meet requirements

• Stay engaged with emerging technologies used in the IOT Space (GoLang, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Git etc.)

• Contribute with team design sessions and provide peer code reviews

• Participate in Production Support On-Call Rotation (and swarm on issues when they arise)

• High level component and system knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues

• Responsiveness and Responsibility of supporting a system directly affecting Restaurant operations

• Collaboration and communication with Clients, Team Members and Operators to answer questions and solicit help as required

• Thrive in a fast moving, quickly evolving technology space while leveraging Agile methodologies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired

· 2+ yrs experience with Go or GoLang

· Experience with AWS

· Experience with Kubernetes and Docker

· 4 yrs experience required

· MUST have EXCELLENT communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• High Level understanding of distributed compute technologies

• Solid Enterprise experience in Cloud development with AWS

• Strong proficiency in GoLang

• Two Years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker and GitOps in a production environment

• Web, API and Event-based development experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency navigating Linux

Minimum Years of Experience 4 yrs

Travel Requirements 10%

Preferred Level of Education is a Bachelors Degree
