Summary:
The PHA CARES Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the PHA CARES Contract, geared to providing health education, awareness, and resources to residents in public housing. He/She will work with healthcare providers, coordinate best practices for Community Health Workers, and report on program outcomes. The PHA CARES Project supports PHA community residents in navigating and linking with available health-related resources.Future services will be developed working in collaboration with community members to address unmet needs.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least three (3) years of directly related experience in social work, human resources, or relevant professional experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, or comparable software.
*Strong facilitation skills to conduct focus groups, build coalitions, hold respectful community conversations, and facilitate partnership meetings.
*Excellent written, clear, and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
*Strong, demonstrated ability to collect, manage, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data for needs assessments, process, outcome, and impact evaluations.
*Ability to interact comfortably with a broad and diverse range of individuals to advance the vision and goals of Temple University.
*Strong work ethic, encouraging teamwork and innovation through adaptability, flexibility, and diplomacy.
*Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.
*Ability to travel in and around North Philadelphia and the City.
Preferred:
*Master’s Degree
*One year of supervision, fiscal, and project management experience.
*Established relationships with community organizations in North Philadelphia and across the city preferred.
*Strong familiarity with the neighborhoods, populations, and history of North Philadelphia and Greater Philadelphia.
*Demonstrated ability to manage and sustain momentum for complicated, multi-dimensional projects (including planning, critical thinking, negotiation, and communication skills).
*Demonstrated commitment to serving the communities and residents of North Philadelphia
*Strong awareness of structural and systemic barriers to education and employment and the intersections of employment with other social issues such as housing insecurity, food insecurity, disability, and incarceration preferred.
*Familiarity with Canva, Constant Contact, WIX/Drupal/WordPress, or comparable software.
This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications before the commencement of service.
This is a grant-funded position.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote); the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
