Temporary Dental Assistant (Maternity Leave Cover) Full Time

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to work with our Prosthodontist in our Specialist practice in Epsom (to cover a maternity leave for a period of 6 months). Our core philosophy is centred around growth and development for everyone, aiming to provide better service to our patients while fostering personal fulfilment and satisfaction. We are seeking individuals with a ‘can-do’ attitude, creativity, reliability, trustworthiness, and strong organisational skills, all motivated to contribute to the development of this exciting new practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the prosthodontist during dental procedures, including chairside support and preparation of instruments and materials.
• Sterilise and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are well-organised and fully stocked.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and explain procedures when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
• Perform other administrative tasks, such as answering phones, filing documents, and handling patient inquiries, when needed. 
• Proficiency in English and language skills, with clear communication in both written and oral forms is essential for conveying important information to patients and maintaining accurate records.
• Be able to help with admin work / reception 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
