What To Expect
Design Automation at Tesla Energy builds internally facing tools for residential PV installations. These tools are used by internal professional users who design solar layouts and electrical diagrams for individual homes. These tools inform energy production, pricing, and how the PV system will be installed.

Tesla Energy is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer proficient in React to join the team and work on building a better experience for engineers designing photovoltaic rooftop systems. The React Engineer will work with skilled software, electrical, and structural engineers bringing a vision of better tools into reality.

What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:

Build and maintain multiple tools in ReactJS and NextJS

Ensure data contract and compatibility with other tools

Be willing to learn complex systems pertaining structural and electrical engineering

Be predictable with deadlines

Ability to work with agile requirements

Collaborate with backend developers, testers, end users

Communicate in a clear and efficient way

Be responsible for deployment, stability and usability of applications

What You’ll Bring

• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS framework
• 2+ years of experience building applications with ReactJS and other modern languages
• Experience working with large teams and following coding and styling standards
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or reputable coding bootcamp completion
• Experience building tools for Engineers is a plus, but not required
• Experience with NodeJS, NextJS , Typescript and GraphQL is a plus
• Be eager to learn and grow professionally
• Excellent communication skills

Expected Compensation

$104,000 – $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
