Test Manager Full Time

Job Description:

As a Test Manager, you will implement an effective software testing strategy and oversee the testing lifecycle for S A Thomson Technologies Pty Ltd. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for S A Thomson Technologies. 
• Lead and manage a team of testers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with the parent company and technical counterparts to understand project requirements and define test objectives.
• Customize off-the-shelf software applications to provide industry-leading solutions
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure thorough coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct regular test reviews and provide detailed reports on test progress, coverage, and quality metrics.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a software testing engineer or testing lead or in a similar role, 
• At least 8 years experience in Software testing and quality assurance. 
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB).

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with a focus on e-commerce, banking, financial or real estate applications
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
