Primary Purpose:
Provide office support for the human resources department.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
At least one year of clerical, administrative and/or experience in an office environment. Experience in a human resources department preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Customer service skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Strong organizational skills
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Handle multiple telephone lines
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Answer multiple telephone lines.
Maintain district employee directory.
Responsible for coordinating the mail schedule. Sort and distribute mail. Process mail invoices.
Answer general human resources inquires.
Responsible for managing the HR email box. Review and respond to emails and/or distribute emails to the appropriate human resources staff member.
Schedule interviews as needed.
Respond to verbal and written employment verification requests.
Order department supplies, process purchase orders and create requisitions.
Other duties as assigned.

Personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, scanner and shredder.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting and moving of moderate to heavy objects. Repetitive hand motions. Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
