As one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, the Texas A&M University Health Science Center encompasses five colleges and numerous centers and institutes working together to improve health through transformative education, innovative research and team-based health care delivery. The Texas A&M Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC) trains and educates students with the latest tools and technology in a simulated clinical environment. The CLRC is essential to the training of medical, nursing, pharmacy, and public health students and practitioners across the state. A staff of educational and clinical experts carefully construct scenarios in a simulated clinical environment designed to expose students to situations they will encounter in practice. The CLRC’s Standardized Patient Program and innovative Teaching Associate Programs are at the forefront of national standards for medical education. Multiple national and international studies have proven the value of simulation in greatly reducing the risk of harm to future patients.

The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for an Program Coordinator II P11 to serve as a member of the Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC) team. Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator II P11 under general supervision, works collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop and implement programs. Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs. Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders. May supervise staff. Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing actives and assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events. Assists in identifying funding opportunities. Plans, implements and evaluates programs. Assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Prepares reports on program activities. Develops and updates training materials and delivers training. This position serves as a simulator, SimulationIQ, inventory management, technician and technology content expert, reporting to the Program Manager of Simulation. This position will ensure maintenance, software programming and hardware upgrades are completed in a timely manner and equipment and events remains functionally ready.

Required Experience:
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Five years of related experience.
3D printing experience.
IT maintenance and hardware troubleshooting.
Inventory maintenance and organization.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS).
Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability and interest to learn new software and hardware systems.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and maintains simulation related equipment.
Develops and maintains logs for simulation related purposes.
Troubleshoots issues with A/V systems and tracks status of recordings, live viewing, and paging during events.
Superuser for simulation related software’s (Predominately: Laerdal and SimulationIQ).
Performs preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, and updates on simulation and task trainer equipment.
Maintains inventory software and ensures appropriate implementation at all sites.
Supports all simulation events, including setup and tear down, as delegated by Program Manager.
Oversees daily fiscal and purchasing actives and assists in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.
Assists in identifying funding opportunities.
Plans, implements, and evaluates programs.
Assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Prepares reports on program activities.
Develops and updates training materials and delivers training.
Assists in ensuring coverage for all CLRC events across all sites.
Assists the Standardized Patient coordinators with implementation of scheduling standardized patient encounters, programming, and operating digital audio/video recordings.
Coordinates the planning and implementation of SIM IQ Telehealth program across all sites. Oversees daily SimulationIQ functioning, purchasing activity for repairs and maintenance.
Assists in identifying funding opportunities.
Plans, implements, evaluates programs, assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Prepares reports on program activities. Intermittent travel required.
Works on independent projects as well as lead and participate on project teams.
Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders. May supervise staff.
Coordinates monthly check-ins with all campuses regarding their knowledge of Simulation IQ, troubleshooting issues, sharing updates that can help navigate Sim IQ.
Coordinates monthly check-ins with all campuses regarding their simulator and task trainer issues and sharing updates.
Collaborates with others to create new innovations, maintain existing equipment and expanded offerings.
Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
Works collaboratively with staff to ensure proper orientation, training, maintenance, and use of simulation related equipment.
Develops and updates training materials for the simulation service line and delivers training for education and participant experiences.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds occasionally.
